Pesquisas da líder em monitoramento de sites demonstram que sites Web 2.0 demoram a abrir ou não carregam corretamente. A WatchMouse monitorou o tempo necessário para carregar os sites de relacionamento social listados na Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites). Resultados: o pior em termos de disponibilidade é o amplamente conhecido Facebook.

Only two of the FTSE MIB company websites registered 100% uptime. The websites with the lowest uptimes included Impregilo (86.6%), Assicurazioni Generali (92.3%) and Enel (93.8%) and Telecom Italia (96.2%). The websites with the best uptimes included Fondiaria-Sai (100%), Parmalat (100%), Pirelli (99.9%), Banca Popolare di Milano (99.9%), and Mediolanum (99.9%).
