We're pleased to introduce the concept of a per-monitor bandwidth allowance in our products. This release helps us to consolidate some of the more recent types of monitors (Script, ScriptXL and Real Browser) into a single type: Advanced Monitors. Please see below for the most recent important changes...

• Product and monitors definitions can now include a maximum bandwidth allocation, allowing customers to tune the check interval on a per-monitor basis within that bandwidth without the need to change their subscription. The current products allow a maximum of 5GB, 10GB, 20GB or 40GB of traffic per month per monitor.
• Initial use of a new flow on the monitor settings page, allowing a user to verify the outcome of a probe before activating it (script and browser types).
• Add 'reseller code' support in various pages on the site. The reseller coupon code automatically ties a new Trial to a reseller account.
• It is now possible to change or reset the API password while only knowing the dashboard password.
• When a password is changed via the site, the authentication error counter is reset.
• Minor performance improvements for some queries in the log viewer.
• Internationalized domain name (idna) support in the dashboard, allowing to monitor sites using non-latin characters in the domain.
• Removed VAT field from various forms, as we are now US-based.
• Several CRM and reseller changes based on requirements from various Service Assurance and Nimsoft teams.
• Various fixes in the dashboard and back-ends.

We have been working hard lately on both UTF-8 and IPv6 support in our systems, reflected partly in the following list of fixes and improvements on our site and back-ends.

After rigorous testing we are now ready to deploy numerous updates to our global checker probe software. We are very happy with reaching this goal, as the updates not only enable us to introduce new protocol checkers shortly, but at the same time encompass various low-level improvements to existing protocol implementations. For example, our HTTP checker now support checking IPv6 web sites, and understands chunked transfer encodings, making the checker behave more like a web browser. It also handles different SSL/TLS protocols and SSL client certificates. After our back-end updates have completed we will make the new options available in our user-interface in the coming weeks. Stay tuned as the updates involve improvements to our HTTP(S), FTP(S), SFTP, SCP, LDAP(S), connect, telnet, ICMP checks and many more!
